Our son Benjamin has recently been made Head of School and Senior Chorister at Westminster Abbey Choir School. He is in his final year at the Choir School and has had an exciting three years whilst in London. During this time he sang for the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Kate, and has also sung for President and Mrs Obama, The Dalai Lama, Pope Benedict XVI and our own PM, David Cameron. He has sung in the Kremlin in Moscow, the Proms and recently an Anglican choir sang for the first time in St Peter’s, Rome for the Papal Mass in June.

As well as these occasions, Ben sings for State occasions such as the Battle of Britain service and for visiting dignitaries.

The Westminster Abbey Choir continues to produce world class recordings and television documentaries. The next documentary is a three-part series on the life of the Abbey due to be screened in the spring.

In the school holidays he returns home to Great Torrington where he lives with us at the Vicarage.
